Civic Beautification
During the spring and summer, the members of the Garden Club arrange and maintain the beautiful hanging baskets of flowers and the raised flower beds you see all along Main Street.
In addition, members plant and maintain flower and plants at the entrance signs to the City of Beacon, the Railroad Station, the Municipal Building, the entrance to Memorial Park, the George Washington Triangle, the clock tower on the East End of Main Street, the Patriot’s Garden, The Howland Cultural Center, and the Visitor’s Center.
Wreaths and lights displayed along Main Street during the Christmas holidays are prepared by members of the club and hung by the Department of Public Works.
